My old coffee maker is on the fritz. I need a new one. I love to make a nice latte in the morning. The trouble is, I can’t afford a very expensive coffee machine. I am looking for something that can make brewed coffee and espresso (with a steamer) for under 0. Is there anything out there? What do you recommend?

a response to an absurd latte art contest contrived by James Hoffmann.

Sorry if the question seems a little basic.

The newWMF prestolino! is a fully automatic coffee speciality machine designed for low to medium demand and is every bit equal to its big sisters in terms of quality and ease of use. It offers highstanding coffee quality as well as a variety of coffee specialities such as espresso, cappuccino, café crème, caffe latte, latte macchiato and optionally milky chocolate and chociatto. Its modern design, intuitive operation as well as the proven professional technology and the revolutionary cleaning concept, the excellent customer service for which WMF is known and, last but not least, the price will convince you. The prestolino! can optionally also be equipped with a topping hopper. Therefore the machine is on the right spot wherever high quality and technology combined with a low number of cups per day is requested.

Most websites outline the amount of caffeine in a an cup of coffee and an cup of espresso. It’s never quite clear if the cup of coffee is the same size as a cup of espresso.

Yeah, because my coffee will besmirch the otherwise sterile environment you find on the Chicago El.
Patsy! The boring geeky convention, remember?

i am going to purchase my own mini expresso machine because i am sick of paying 4$ for a soy-latte. my first question is, if i purchase it, do i have to get a milk frother as well?

^ that is the one i am buying.. i am just hoping i put the milk and it froths it and adds expresso so that its easy. do you know if that’s what it would do??
also – if i use soy-vanilla do you think that i’d still have to add a vanilla syrup or is the vanilla in the milk enough
sorry if these are awful questions

I have a horrible caffeine addiction. I have been drinking between 6 and 10 diet sodas a day for the last six years. When I drink too much soda, I get dizzy all the time, but when I attempt to stop, I feel light headed and odd. What is the best way to stop the caffeine addiction without getting terrible heaches and feeling light headed?
